Jayne Lange, Founder & Chief Executive Officer. Jayne is an experienced startup executive with significant corporate world presence. Her work ranges from design engineering at General Motors to running corporate partnering for Fisons plc (now Aventis), Head of Business Development and Strategic Planning, Asia/Pacific at SmithKline Beecham (now GlaxoSmithKline) and Head of Business Development & Licensing for the gene and cell therapy sector at Novartis. Jayne’s pioneering work as one of the first women engineering graduates from General Motors Institute has encouraged a number of young women to pursue careers in technology. Jayne also received her MBA from Harvard Business School, which she attended as a General Motors Fellow. Following graduation from HBS,

Jayne pursued a career in biotechnology and consulting, both domestically and internationally in Japan and England. In 1993, she became a startup employee of COR Therapeutics, where she was responsible for the corporate partnering of Integrelin (now the largest product at Schering Plough) and later joined SyStemix (sold to Novartis) as head of corporate partnering. Following the sale of SyStemix to Novartis, Jayne became head of corporate partnering for all gene and cell therapy sector products, successfully integrating the Genetic Therapy, Inc. business into Novartis. Jayne raised her three children as a single mother after having been a trailing spouse for 19 years. She knows all too well what it's like to try to pursue a career, parenthood and a balanced life at the same time.
